CHECKING OUT BOOKS
Books are checked out for 1 week plus 2 "grace days" and may be renewed twice.
Reference materials may not be checked out.
Students in grades K--2 must return overdue books before checking out more books.
Students in grades 3-8 will be charged 5 cents per day for overdue book.
Students with books 10 or more school days late will be given a referral for detention.
STUDENT SERVICES:
Use of Destiny catalog and check out books.
Instruction in research skills and reference materials.
Instruction on genres, subjects, and library materials.
Book talks, author studies.
Individual reading guidance.
Use of Accelerated Reader.
Participate in LA Young Readers' Choice Awards Program.
