Welcome to Sacred Heart’s Library!

About the Librarian. Our librarian, Catherine Fontenot, is a qualified Library and Media Specialist holding a Masters in Library Information and Science. Mrs. Fontenot is a former classroom teacher who taught first grade for 10 years, then moved on to teach junior high math. Her love of books and reading, combined with her love of teaching, makes the job at the Sacred Heart of Jesus School library a perfect match.

The Mission of Sacred Heart School Library is to be a place where all students can strive for and achieve success; where quality collections are provided, in print and online, that support the curriculum and address a variety of learning needs; where students develop a love of reading and literature; where library media specialists help students explore the world around them through print and electronic media; where students can work individually or in samll groups on research and collaborative projects.
