CHEERLEADER CAMP
SHS cheerleaders participated in a UCA cheer camp July 26—28 at St. George School with 15 other squads. The girls won the coveted Leadership Award, deemed a “top honor” by camp organizers. This award is selected by participating squads. All squads were asked to name the team they would be on if they could choose a team and Sacred Heart was named by a majority of the squads! The SHS squad placed second in the large group cheer, third in the large group dance. They received a superior rating for the week and an invitation to the 2012 Capitol One Bowl. Two members, eighth-graders Grace Bienvenu and Mason Bettis tried out and were selected to the All American Squad. They were invited to participate in the Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade. The girls were complimented on being so polite and respectful. We look forward to a great school year filled with Tiger cheer!
